Who We Are

Co-founded by Greg Devine and Alex Fletcher in 2023, Frontiers On Foot is a new company with big ideas. Our goal in the short term is to assist established conservation organisations and their projects by providing volunteers to support the ground team in their day to day activities.

Our mission is to become an NGO/NFPO that supports and inspires wildlife conservation and ecological research at a global level.

We have a shared passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. We believe that through collaboration, education and effective work we can make a positive impact on the conservation of our planet’s precious natural resources. By working together with our partners and volunteers, we can promote sustainable practices, support conservation efforts and inspire future generations to become stewards of the environment.

Our approach to conservation falls under our key values.

Why Choose Us?

Where we differ from other volunteer organisations is that rather than just being another expensive gap year option on the market, we involve our volunteers in genuine conservation work experience, and emphasise the positive impact that our work will be having on the environment.

Connecting and working alongside fellow like-minded people in areas rich in biodiversity and of outstanding natural beauty creates transformative experiences. We expect the work we do together to generate lasting and meaningful memories, as well as leaving a positive mark on the environment and the communities that we are engaged with.

Our volunteers will pick up valuable and practical conservation skills such as, but not limited to, habitat surveying, species monitoring, camera trap analysis, data collection and interpretation, reforestation and habitat restoration techniques, as well as active involvement in community engagement. We expect a good work ethic and a positive attitude from our volunteers and, in return, we will work tirelessly to design and update our programmes to prioritise learning, adventure and fun.
